Registration via our online shop

Personal data

Personal data is information about factual or personal circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your name, your telephone number, your address, as well as all inventory data that you provide to us during registration and when creating your customer account. Statistical data that we collect, for example, when you visit our ICX online shop and that cannot be directly linked to your person are not included here. For example, these are statistics about which pages of our shop are particularly popular or how many users visit certain pages of the Medentis shop.

Customer account

For each customer who registers accordingly, we set up password-protected direct access to his or her inventory data stored with us (customer account). Here you can view data about your completed, open and recently shipped orders and manage your data and newsletter. You undertake to treat the personal access data confidentially and not to make it accessible to any unauthorised third party. We cannot accept any liability for misused passwords unless we are responsible for the misuse.
Unless you log out, you will automatically remain logged in. This function allows you to use part of our services (e.g. ‘customer account’) without having to log in again each time. For security reasons, however, you will be asked to enter your password again if, for example, you want to change your personal data or place an order.

Collection, processing and use of your personal data

Data protection is very important to us. Therefore, we strictly adhere to the legal provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act and the Telemedia Act when collecting, processing and using your personal data. We collect, store and process your data for the entire processing of your purchase, including any subsequent warranties, for our services, technical administration and our own marketing purposes. Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties or otherwise transferred if this is necessary for the purpose of contract processing or billing or if you have given your prior consent. In the context of order processing, for example, the service providers used by us (such as carriers, logistics companies, banks) receive the necessary data for order and order processing. The data passed on in this way may only be used by our service providers to fulfil their task. Any other use of the information is not permitted and does not take place with any of the service providers entrusted by us.
For your order we need your correct name, address and payment details. We need your e-mail address so that we can confirm receipt of your order and communicate with you. We also use these for your identification (customer login). Furthermore, you will receive your order and shipping confirmation via your e-mail address.
Your personal data will be deleted if there are no legal obligations to retain it and if you have asserted a claim for deletion, if the data is no longer required to fulfil the purpose for which it was stored or if its storage is not permitted for other legal reasons.

Use of your data for advertising purposes

In addition to processing your data to process your purchase from Medentis, we also use your data to communicate with you about your orders, specific products or marketing promotions and to recommend products or services that may be of interest to you.
You may object to the use of your personal data for advertising purposes at any time, either in whole or in part, without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates. A notification in text form to the contact data mentioned under point 1 (e.g. e-mail, fax, letter) is sufficient for this purpose.

Newsletter

For sending the newsletter we use the so-called double opt-in procedure, i.e. we will only send you a newsletter by e-mail if you have previously expressly confirmed that you want us to activate the newsletter service. We will then send you a notification email and ask you to confirm that you would like to receive our newsletter by clicking on a link contained in this email.
If you do not wish to receive any more newsletters from us at a later date, you can object to this at any time without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates. A notification in text form to the contact data mentioned under point 1 (e.g. e-mail, fax, letter) is sufficient for this purpose. Of course you will also find an unsubscribe link in every newsletter.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (hereafter: Google). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Due to the activation of the
IP anonymization
(anonymizeIp) on these web pages, however, your IP address will be truncated beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: Browser add-on to disable Google Analytics.

In addition or as an alternative to the browser add-on, you can prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our pages by [ga_optout]clicking this link[/ga_optout]. This will install an opt-out cookie on your device. This will prevent the collection by Google Analytics for this website and for this browser in the future, as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.

Use of Matomo (originally Piwik)

This website uses Matomo, an open source software for statistical analysis of visitor access. Matomo uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site.
The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is stored on a server in Germany.
The IP address is anonymized immediately after processing and before it is stored.

. You have the option to prevent the installation of cookies by changing the settings of your browser software. We would like to point out that not all functions of this website may be available if the corresponding settings are made.

You may choose to have a unique web analytics cookie placed in your browser to allow the website operator to collect and analyze various statistical data.

Use of script libraries (Google Webfonts)

In order to display our content correctly and graphically appealing across browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Web Fonts(https://www.google.com/webfonts/) on this website. Google Web Fonts are transferred to your browser’s cache to avoid multiple loads. If the browser does not support Google Web Fonts or prevents access, content will be displayed in a standard font.

Calling script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. It is theoretically possible – but currently also unclear whether and for what purposes – that operators of such libraries collect data.

The privacy policy of the library operator Google can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

Use of Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps API to visually display geographical information. When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes and uses data on the use of the map functions by visitors. You can find more information about data processing by Google in the Google privacy policy. There you can also change your personal privacy settings in the privacy center.

Detailed instructions on how to manage your own data in connection with Google products can be found here.

Embedded YouTube videos

We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. This tells Youtube which pages you are visiting. If you are logged into your Youtube account, Youtube can assign your surfing behaviour to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your Youtube account beforehand.

If a Youtube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behaviour.

If you have deactivated the saving of cookies for the Google Ad program, you will not have to deal with such cookies when watching Youtube videos. However, Youtube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you would like to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in the browser.

Further information on data protection at “Youtube” can be found in the provider’s data protection declaration at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

social plugins

Social plugins from the providers listed below are used on our websites. You can recognize the plugins by the fact that they are marked with the corresponding logo.

Information, which may also include personal data, may be sent to the service provider via these plugins and may be used by the service provider. We prevent the unconscious and unwanted collection and transmission of data to the service provider through a 2-click solution. To activate a desired social plugin, it must first be activated by clicking on the corresponding button. Only this activation of the plugin also triggers the collection of information and its transmission to the service provider. We do not collect any personal data ourselves by means of the social plugins or through their use.

We have no influence on what data an activated plugin collects and how it is used by the provider. At present, it must be assumed that a direct connection to the provider’s services is established and that at least the IP address and device-related information is collected and used. There is also the possibility that the service providers try to store cookies on the computer used. Please refer to the data protection information of the respective service provider to find out which specific data is collected and how it is used. Note: If you are logged into Facebook at the same time, Facebook may identify you as a visitor to a particular page.

We have integrated the social media buttons of the following companies on our website:

Facebook Inc. (1601 S. California Ave – Palo Alto – CA 94304 – USA)
XING AG (Gänsemarkt 43 – 20354 Hamburg – Germany)
LinkedIn Corporation (2029 Stierlin Court – Mountain View – CA 94043 – USA)

Google AdWords

Our website uses Google conversion tracking. If you have reached our website via an ad placed by Google, Google Adwords will set a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that the user has clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted in to conversion tracking. Clients learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information with which users can be personally identified.

If you do not wish to participate in the tracking, you can refuse the setting of a cookie required for this – for example, by means of a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies or by setting your browser in such a way that cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com” are blocked.

Please note that you may not delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not wish to record measurement data. If you have deleted all your cookies in the browser, you must set the respective opt-out cookie again.

Use of Google Remarketing

This website uses the remarketing function of Google Inc. This function is used to present interest-based advertisements to website visitors within the Google advertising network. A so-called “cookie” is stored in the browser of the website visitor, which makes it possible to recognise the visitor when they visit websites that belong to the Google advertising network. On these pages, the visitor may be presented with advertisements that relate to content that the visitor has previously viewed on websites that use Google’s remarketing feature.
According to its own information, Google does not collect any personal data during this process. However, if you do not wish to use Google’s remarketing function, you can deactivate it in principle by making the appropriate settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively, you can disable the use of cookies for interest-based advertising through the ad network initiative by following the instructions at http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.

Your rights to information, correction, blocking, deletion and objection

You have the right to obtain information about your personal data stored by us at any time. You also have the right to have your personal data corrected, blocked or, apart from the mandatory data storage for business processing, deleted. Please contact our data protection officer for this purpose. You will find the contact details at the bottom.

In order that a blocking of data can be taken into account at any time, these data must be kept in a blocking file for control purposes. You can also request the deletion of the data, unless there is a legal archiving obligation. If such an obligation exists, we will block your data upon request.

You can make changes or withdraw your consent by sending a corresponding message to datenschutz(at)medentis.de with effect for the future.

Change of our data protection regulations

We reserve the right to amend this data protection declaration from time to time so that it always complies with the current legal requirements or in order to implement changes to our services in the data protection declaration, e.g. when introducing new services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
